Chapter 50 Self Defense

• Shit! I had placed the gun under my pillow yesterday before entering the bathroom and forgot to move it. The reason I had not been taking her to my main residence was due to some items I kept there that I had yet to move; I didn't want her to know about my dealings in the underworld yet. It was for her own safety.
• I was searching my mind for a reasonable excuse to tell Alexa why there was a gun on my bed when she asked me a question that made me widen my eyes in disbelief.
