• “We need to discuss a few things, sit.” Calix sits down, Demitri and Marcello following, moving I sit back on the chair he had ordered me to sit on earlier.
• “Before we start, how bad was it?” Demitri’s words have me turning to look at him. “When you got home.” I see guilt on his face, and I want to say he should be guilty, but it was all me.
• “Does it matter?” I look at him. “Nothing can be changed now.”
