Chapter 28 By Force

• The makeshift spear fashioned from the sailing knife had pierced deeply into the bear’s brain through its left ear. I used all my strength to push it to its side. The bear was in a lot of pain before it died as its face was all contorted. Its mouth was wide-opened as if it still wanted to bite me.
• Meanwhile, Hailey approached me from behind. When she saw how gruesome the bear looked, she gasped and retreated a few steps back in shock.
• I removed the spear from the bear and asked her to gather the rest of the women here. While waiting for them, I switched the hook from the sailing knife to the blade instead.
