Chapter 55 Bad News

• The head of the herd crumbled, its bulky head colliding with the ground, sending dirt flying at the impact. It released a wail of anguish. Its hind legs pawed at the ground, fighting to regain an upright position but to no avail.
• There was a deep hole in the ground that entrenched its right foreleg. The leg was twisted at an unnatural angle and was probably broken.
• This came as no surprise given the speed it was travelling at. Coupled with its huge build, the resulting force was more than enough to break the leg.
