Chapter 22 Negotiations

• “Can you leave everything to me?” Allie asked as she crouched beside me. “Let me negotiate with them. I’ll try my best to get the best terms for us.”
• I could see from her eyes that she was pleading sincerely. However, I was still worried and tested her instead. “Why are you telling me this? You’re the only one that speaks Spanish anyway!”
• Allie gently shook her head. “I need to ask for your permission. As I said before, you’re my king! From the moment those people appeared, we were already at war. I’m sure you know that better than I do!”
