- I walked around the room as I headed towards the lavish food table which was stacked with many plates of hors d'oeuvres and dainty desserts as well as various alcoholic beverages. It was a party, after all.
- I picked up another flute of champagne and took a few sips of the sweet, sparkling drink. I also picked up a mini pastry and was about to savor it when someone's shadow came over me.
