• I devoted my thoughts intently on her ghostly complexions. Even her once-rosy lips had become a lighter shade. Her scent made me feel apprehensive, as if the wind and rain had swept away the scent of cherry blossoms that had always brought me solace. Instead of adopting a dominant stance, she developed a look on her face that hinted she was being bullied.
