• Leila was an asshole. Her husband didn’t deserve to be treated like that but her anger made her react that way. Leila was upset about a lot of things and Kelvin was the only one she could pour out her frustrations on. Her untold anger should be directed to someone else but who? She couldn’t shout at her mother for forgetting her when the woman didn’t even know who she was? Freya already felt bad about her mother remembering her but not her daughter.
• She hesitated in front of Kelvin’s door. She could go in now to tell him she accepted his offer for lunch and they would make peace. Instead, she made a U-turn and hurried to her office.
• Her phone was ringing when she entered her domain. It was a call from Freya. Her best friend wanted to know how she was, she needed the details about her disappearance last night. She had ignored Freya’s texts for this long but she wasn’t sure she could do it for much longer. The call ended and Leila sent a text to tell her later.
