- Adriel reached out and gently patted Charles' little head. A soft smile graced his fair and handsome face. “Indeed, he's adorable.”
- Layla and Michael exchanged smiles. In Layla's eyes, a hint of tears shimmered. She thought about how Charles had lived with only his mother from a young age until now. It felt like he had been unjustly treated by life, and now, she couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache for him.
- “Come on, I have a lot of toys from when I was a kid. Let me take you to the toy room upstairs to play.” Uriel, still a child at heart, couldn't wait to play and have fun. Adriel, on the other hand, was the opposite extreme. Even though he was only fifteen, he was already quite mature.
