Chapter 40 Broken

• Xena's body was frozen, with tears streaming down her face. Xena's eyes stared at Morgan's hurt. Morgan said a sentence like a knife that had pierced Xena's heart.
• Xena's eyes were red from the tears that kept falling. The girl's hands were already pale from the denial within her. Xena was sure that she had heard wrong, but unfortunately, Xena's brain was working fast and all this was real.
• "Wh-what are you talking about, Morgan? I'm carrying our child. The fruit of our love. Why did you have the heart to say that?" exclaimed Xena, holding back her sobs. Xena's shoulders shook, sad, painful. Her eyes could not escape looking at Morgan with an implied, demanding gaze.
