Chapter 39

• Sasha got into her car and drove to Kaleb's house. She was five minutes late, but she was too worried to care. She'd almost called Kaleb to tell him that she was going to be present, but it was too late to do that. Her parents had already been invited, thanks to Kaleb and the Luthors were coming too. She knew it'd be rude to back out now, but she couldn't blame herself because there was nothing to look forward to.
• Her dad was disappointed in her, Tilly was mad at her for keeping secrets from her and Kaleb… Well, as for Kaleb, she just wanted to punch him. And if she did punch him tonight, he deserved it, she told herself. It was going to be a very unpleasant evening. She just knew it.
• When she arrived, she parked her car and started to walk towards the house. The door opened before she could even knock.
