Chapter 17 A Decision

  • My heart beats so fast whenever I couldn't find the beast; I felt as if I was about to break down. Where could he have gone? What was happening? I searched frantically, scanning the surroundings with my eyes for any sign of movement. The wind howled in my ears as the leaves rustled and swirled, making it difficult to hear anything else.
  • I placed my hands on my face and wiped away the little tears that were falling out of it. The frustration and worry were getting the best of me, and the tears were a natural reaction.
