Chapter 7 More than perfect

  • Leoxi was reading the letter that had come into his hands. As the alpha's twin brother and Pack Commander, he had more responsibilities than he wanted in his life. His brother had less time than he, so he had no right to complain, even now he knew that he was planning well the blow they would deliver to the gray pack.
  • He ran his hand through his hair, ruffling it. He was somewhat overwhelmed with the new events. What the hell were those wolves thinking of doing that to an omega? And a pure one to conclude. Did they not know that they were as strange as albino wolves. With the ability to reproduce in large numbers, their bodies were tough enough to withstand giving birth three times as many times as a normal wolf, which only obtained its heat every 100 years. What wolf did not want multiple cubs with his wife, was his greatest longing.
  • He read the letter again, concentrating on the most important item on his itinerary. He recognized the handwriting of that wolf prince named Nicolas, brother of the two young men his twin kept locked up in the other wing of the mansion. The directions to attack the herd within three days were written one after the other. The messenger was currently resting with his eyes closed on a sofa in front of him. For the moment he could not return to his own. They were betting everything on this intervention, even the separation of several families if the plan went wrong.
  • The multiple rumors of the exploitative system in the gray pack were more than heard, although no wolf from it confirmed it. The abuse of puppies, raped wolves, males on the verge of madness, lack of food and the poverty of the weakest were some of the things that were commented on.
  • The Grand Council had held the alpha accountable, but he had managed to escape unscathed, something that had stung most of the other alphas deeply. So many mysteries surrounded that pack that it was impossible to know what was true and what was a lie.

  • Alan and Noa looked at each other doubtfully. What the hell was that man asking of them? Who will give you their mother? They both frowned, annoyed, that was unheard of.
  • Hades just looked at his body expression and knew that they had liked nothing of his statement, something logical. In the end, with everything that was happening behind them, he would be the winner and get everything, but he wanted to know their attitude in order to save her.
  • Noa bit her lip
  • -Our mother will leave one prison only for another- he said more for him than for the others.
  • -I never said I would lock her up or subdue her. I'm going to save your entire pack, what guarantee I have that after my effort they will follow me, only with the old queen on my side, they will obey me-
  • The brothers found themselves at a crossroads. His words were absolutely right, but what would his mother think of this, entire, she had already been captive for so long that they did not want the same thing to happen again. On the other hand, if they did not accept, they would not leave that place. Hades was known to be benevolent, they hoped this time they were not wrong with the choice.

  • The alpha flopped down on his bed after finishing all the business for the day. He was beyond exhausted. Organizing everything meticulously was stressful and even more so when he was a perfectionist. He didn't want anything to go wrong. The prizes would be several, including the possibility of having offspring. If no one was capable of having a child from him, perhaps a fertile omega such as the ancient queen was the most reliable path.
  • He closed his eyes and his memory went to the past. He remembered when the late alpha and his queen had come to visit him, that would be the last time he would see them. A minimal delegation had accompanied him and what stood out the most was the only small one that had attended. It must not be more than 10 years old. With short hair, with tousled chocolate waves, a smiling expression and beautiful large purple eyes, that to this day he could describe them. He hadn't paid any attention to her, but who did he imagine that she would be the ruler of his pack later. No one.
  • He had been invited to the marriage out of formality, but he was traveling at the time. The image of a childish girl was the only one that was fleetingly left in his head. If they had told him that the me of the present would be asking for it for him, he would not have believed it, but that was life, spinning around. He just hoped that at least her physique was nice enough to please him.
