• The snow was falling again, ending on the bare skin of Nebraska shaking her. By now their footprints must have been hidden by the dense white layer. Around them the landscape was irregular, there were areas where there were no signs of life and from one side to the other you could find shrubs or stone formations. Behind her, one of the wolves was pushing her when they slowed down.
• She had tried to use some of her tricks trying to get into their minds, but she did not understand why it did not work. The gaze of those wolves was lost and no matter how much she tried to reassure them, nothing worked.
