Chapter 26

• My eyes dilated in shock, staring straight at the tattoo as a rush of terror crossed through me, causing my heart to twitch. The scene of my mother soaked in the pool of her blood filled my head. I could vividly see that moment when those men hit her hard, even when she was dying.
• My mother was gasping for air and struggling for life, but those men never gave her a chance and were determined to take her life. I had seen the skull tattoo on the arm of one of those men who killed her, and seeing it again on Kyle's arm struck me so hard that my entire body stiffened.
• Her grip on my neck tightened the more and I felt like I was going to die. The more I tried to release myself from her grip, the weaker I became. Her sharp claw went into my chest slowly, causing me to whimper in pain.
