• "Do you know how dumb you are, Yvonne? Can't you tell what your husband's thinking? What a sad sight." Patricia crossed her arms in front of her chest while speaking in a haughty tone. "Your husband was determined to send your daughter to the Baker Family from the start. He wanted to be affiliated with the Bakers, and he didn't get a divorce with you because he wanted to still retain some control over his daughter. I can't believe you were dumb enough to think that he still has feelings for you. If he did, why would he have spent his last 20 years with me? Why would he have allowed your daughter to get married to one of the Bakers?" she uttered.

• "Y-You… That's nonsense!" Yvonne raised her voice, but she didn't sound that threatening. She wasn't aggressive enough! Samantha felt her legs turning weak when she heard this conversation. Ever since she was young, Richard had always forced her into learning the piano, dance, art, and all sorts of other talents. She initially thought that Richard wanted her to be a celebrity. Come to think of it now, it seems like he had his own agenda all along… He got me to learn all those skills because he wanted me to seduce Henry, didn't he? I can't believe how cunning my dad is!
