Chapter 37 I'm Here for My Wallet
- After Fern fled the scene, she quickly made her way back to Northside speedily shortly before arriving at a run-down orphanage. As soon as she walked through the door, she was greeted by a lady who appeared to be wearing a set of clothes with patches. "I thought you weren't going to come back, Fern." The lady seemed unhappy.
- "Here is the money my job paid me, Ms. Black. I'm tired now, so I'm going to go back to the room and get some sleep." Fern stuffed a stack of cash into the lady's hand and pretended to yawn, trying to avoid her reprimand by retreating to her room.
- "Stand right there!" Nancy shouted at Fern, who immediately stopped in her tracks with a horrified look on her face. She then walked up to her and asked, "There were a few men standing at the door in the past few days. Did you pickpocket their wallets again?"
