Chapter 5

  • It only took a couple of months for Helen and Edward to start a new relationship, she was so in love, the moments with her boss turned into an intense and passionate romance. Helen had never been so much in love with this man as she was at that moment.
  • Helen arrived at her workstation and a beautiful bouquet of flowers was on her desk, she loved them, she came over and smelled them, her nose absorbed all their perfume, and she felt her chest puff up with joy, she bit her lower lip and read the card.
  • "One flower, for another even more beautiful flower, I've thought too much of you, Edward."
  • Helen smiled delightedly and wanted to go out to thank him personally, but he was already opening the door to his office, crashing into her.
  • Edward stared at her, while she hung on his neck and kissed her lips without further response.
  • Edward continued to kiss her immoderately and led her to the office seat.
  • "That's nothing compared to what you deserve Helen," Edward took a lock of her hair and put it behind her ear, she smiled delightedly.
  • "I can't believe that life has rewarded me with someone like you Edward, you are what I always dreamed of what I longed for all my life.
  • Edward felt a little bad about her words, although his only intention at the beginning of it all was to hurt her, there were times when he doubted himself, as Helen's presence inexplicably brightened his days.
  • "Don't say that Helen, I'm a man like any other, but I want to make you happy always," he approached her and took her face in both hands, kissed her passionately, began to caress her, his hands were running over her legs and every time he did, he felt an inexplicable warmth.
  • He liked her skin, he loved her scent, his body fascinated him, but his pride was more powerful than any feeling she would incite in him, and he was engaged to Virginia.
  • Suddenly the door to Helen's office rang, interrupting them immediately, it was the other assistant they had hired.
  • They both smiled in complicity, but that wasn't the only moment their romance was on the surface.
  • Everyday Edward's details came and went, he didn't even explain why he was doing it, he just kept in mind that he wanted her to fall madly in love with him.
  • They went out every day, went to the movies, to eat, to walk, they talked all the time, and although he was with another identity, he indirectly told her the truth of his life, and so did she, the trust between the two of them was magical.
  • One night they were sitting under the moonlight, she looked up at the sky and at that instant a shooting star passed by.
  • "Beautiful! Edward asked her as if she were a little boy.
  • "Of course! She replied.
  • "Did you make a wish?" he walked over and kissed her on the nose.
  • "Yes, of course I asked, but I don't need to hide it.
  • "Oh, no?" Then tell me, what have you asked for?
  • Edward felt a dagger pierce deep into his chest, now he was more confused than ever, but he won't stray from his goal, no matter what was going on between him and Helen.
  • ......
  • Virginia was getting dressed in front of Fernando, took him from behind and kissed him on the neck.
  • "When will you make that woman pay for everything, she did to you?" Fernando kissed her hand and turned to her.
  • "Tonight, I'm going to ask her to marry me, and it's going to be the same day you and I get married, beautiful, and I'm going to give her the surprise of her life."
  • Virginia kissed Fernando again and smiled satisfied, although she had nothing to do with Helen, she enjoyed her pain.
  • Edward stopped by the jewelry store before arriving at the supermarket, claimed his order and came to where Helen was, they greeted each other as usual and went on with his plan.
  • "Honey, I want us to go out tonight to celebrate our fifth month together," Edward grabbed Helen from behind and hugged her.
  • She turned, looking at him pleased, and kissed his passionate mouth.
  • "I think it's an excellent idea. Where are we going to go?"
  • "We'll have a couple of drinks.
  • "I'll be beautiful for you, I love you," it was the first time Helen had told him she loved him, and it came out so spontaneously.
  • Edward took advantage of her naivety to make her believe that he felt the same way about her, while behind her back he already had everything prepared to cause her great pain.
  • "I love you too, beautiful," she replied in a hug.
  • Night came and the lovers went straight to a beautiful place he had reserved, a table for two, with two glasses, a fine bottle of champagne and candles.
  • "Edward, it's all beautiful, don't tell me, did you do all this for me?"
  • "Helen, I'm completely convinced that you deserve this and so much more, you're so beautiful," Edward poured two glasses of champagne and they toasted.
  • After the first drink came many more, she was not used to drinking, and she was already a little toned as a result of the effect of alcohol, she was completely uninhibited and attracted by the love she felt for her boyfriend, she approached and kissed him.
  • But it was a different kiss, a passionate one, and within him desires began to blossom, Edward for his part thought it was the perfect opportunity to begin poor Helen's suffering.
  • "Precious, I love your kisses, I swear I'm dying for your mine, these months have been beautiful by your side, but the idea of having your body, it really excites me.
  • "My love, I've never been with another man," she replied nervously, Edward smiled delighted to hear that Helen was a virgin, it was melody to his ears.
  • "You mean I'll be your first man?" Helen pulled away from him a bit, she didn't want to give herself up until marriage.
  • "It's just that I... I want to give myself for the first time in marriage," she replied blushing.
  • Edward took her hand and caressed her, kissed her again and after providing security, he took a small box from his pocket, when he opened it, Helen's eyes were dazzled by the glitter of the gemstone in the ring.
  • "Just tonight I wanted to tell you something very important, Helen Parker, will you marry me?"
  • Helen opened her eyes in surprise, and a couple of tears escaped from them, she hugged Edward tightly and kissed him frantically.
  • "Tell me I'm not dreaming, repeat it, Edward, please tell me this isn't a dream," she pleaded as she gladly looked at her ring on her finger.
  • "No, my precious, it's a reality, a beautiful reality, I'll make you mine forever and it will be the most wonderful wedding, now let's toast."
  • Consumed by desire, happiness, and alcohol, Helen gave herself that very night to her beloved.
  • Edward ran through her body as if he truly loved her, he was tender, loving, and delicate, he made Helen's first time special and unforgettable, she was completely convinced, that he was the love of her life.
  • The next few days set the date of the wedding, Helen put all her effort into organizing the wedding of her dreams, the decorations, the party and the place, all of them were full of beautiful details, it was the most important day of her life, and she felt so happy because she was going to marry the man she loved, with the owner of her virginity, her soul and her body.
  • She looked at herself in the mirror, put a little blush on her cheeks, a soft lipstick and pulled down her veil, the big day had arrived, although she would have loved that her parents were accompanying her on her precious day, she was alone and only a few guests from the village would be her company.
  • But Helen was completely happy, after the infinite dedication she had made to her love, not only was she willing to marry him, but in her hands, she had an envelope with a great surprise for Edward.
  • On the way to church, she only focused her gaze on the envelope and the future images of her new family, the anxieties were consuming her and the excitement of finally being in front of the altar with the man of her life, was the best thing that had happened to her.
  • "Miss, we've arrived at the church," the man she hired to be her driver snapped her out of her thoughts.
  • Helen sighed when she saw the door of the place where she would deliver her love, her heart was racing and her hands were shaking, she squeezed the bouquet of flowers and the envelope. With a firm step she got out of the car, the church was beautiful on the outside, but she had made sure it was better inside.
  • When he took the first steps, he knew that something was not right, he thought that he had gone to the wrong place, and of course marriage, the church was full and in front of the altar there was a couple, a wedding was already being celebrated.
  • The groom turned away as he listened to the whispers of the guests to see a new woman dressed in white arrive.
  • Helen felt her world crumble at her feet, and everything she had dreamed of was turning into a nightmare, she shook her head and went crazy immediately.
  • "Edward!" she said in her trembling voice, realizing that the one who was marrying another woman was her beloved boyfriend.
  • "Helen, what do you need?" he replied arrogantly.
  • "What's going on?" Helen's voice broke completely, as Virginia looked her up and down.
  • "Do you remember nine months ago, when you were supposed to get to church, do you remember Fernando Donovan?" Edward said in front of all the guests, who looked at Helen in surprise, but no one said anything.
  • "No," Helen wanted to faint. What are you talking about?
  • "I've never loved you Helen, I'm not even Edward Campbell, I'm Fernando Donovan, and I'm going to marry you, but not with you" Helen felt a chill run through her being, her legs began to tremble, and turn pale,
  • she repeated to herself.
  • "Security, get this woman out!" the wedding must go on—those were Fernando's last words.
  • A couple of bodyguards pulled poor Helen out, dragged by her arms, while she didn't even assimilate what was happening, she dropped the bouquet along with the envelope to the floor, and an unknown woman, seeing her pain, picked them up, but didn't give her time to return them again, so she put them in her bag in the hope of seeing her again.
  • Helen was left in the street, a torrential downpour began to fall, the doors of the church closed, while inside the wedding was taking place, shattered, and torn by grief, she ran away.
  • The thick rain didn't allow her to see beyond her eyes, and her tears completely blurred her vision. Helen ran so much aimlessly...
  • She was running with so much pain and despair, that she did not notice that when crossing the street, a car was coming, she barely opened her eyes when she realized that it was too late to cross.
  • The roar of the car when braking sounded, Helen received a terrible blow, a serious accident had happened, everyone ran out when they saw that the one who was lying on the floor surrounded by a pool of blood, was the sad woman.
  • As the blood drained from her body, Helen still didn't understand how Fernando Donovan had done that to her, at that moment it was better to die.
