• "So you mean we should prepare ourselves that we might have to do this the hard way?" she asked calmly. I was surprised because I had thought she was going to be all nervous or perhaps breaking down. I nodded to affirm. "Fine, I'm ready for it! Looks like I'm the main character after all!" she said nonchalantly, which surprised me. ‘Was she really ‘war ready?’
• We chatted a bit with healer Lot and we asked questions about this and that. “I am ready to avenge my family! If it takes blood for blood then so be it!” Lucy said and Lot raised an eyebrow. I looked at him wanting to know why. I wondered if he doubted her ability. He shook his head then spoke in my mind. ‘I don’t know your majesty but my spirit keeps rejecting the notion that her parents are dead…’ I cut him and told him not to think much about it, that my father would have known since he was there at the challenge. I really didn’t want him to say any of that to Lucy lest it gave her false hope. ‘What if you are wrong? Please don’t mention that to her again or you will make her remember that you said it the last time and that might just worry her or give her false hope,’ I responded to his mind link and he nodded.
