Chapter 107 Unexpected

• Lucy’s POV
• It's been more than a month since we have been hiding in Badosa. A lot has happened, but the most thrilling was discovering that my witch sister was actually also a lioness just like us. It has been overwhelming and exciting at the same time. I was out with Lance and Nelly scouting out the land. There were beautiful species of flowers and plants that were obviously not found on earth with illuminating colors such as teal, deep burgundy, mauve, tan, azure, rust, coral, cyan and many more which you can never see in the natural environment but are mainly just man made mixture of the original colors. The scents of the flowers were captivating as well.
• “Here!” I turned around to see Lance giving me a very beautiful cyan colored flower with beautiful shiny gold trimmings. It was my first time to see such a beautiful and alluring flower. It almost looked superficial, like it was rather a sketched piece of art than a real flower. A smile involuntarily escaped my lips. “Thank you!” I said taking it from him. “Through this, I want you to know that you are beautiful and that I wish you could become mine and mine alone,” he spoke with passion in his eyes, as if it was only me and him in the whole universe. I looked at Nelly to see her sternly looking at me as if saying do not even think about leading him on. I really didn’t know how to respond to Lance’s words. I wondered if he was indirectly asking me out or he was just expressing his interest. I already knew how he felt about me but my contention was that I wanted to wait for my fated mate. I remembered Priest Mayi's prophecy that still confused me even up to today because it claimed that I will be mated to a Prince or King or something in between that. I had two close friends who fit this description and yet up to this day, neither of them turned out to be my mate. I concluded maybe my mate was somewhere out there and would show up at the right time.
