Chapter 5
- Amelia Clark
- I stopped in my tracks in the middle of the elegant room as I heard what the maid told me over the call.
- "Thank you, Dorin. If anything comes up then inform me".
- I hung up the call and threw the phone on my couch immediately suddenly getting all furious.
- I felt the urge to throw something against the fireplace, the irresistible desire to yank something off but I held myself in check.
- Gosh!! How dare Drew? I need to chill out right now. I can't just get angry because of this piece of information.
- I went outside and went to the swimming pool where I met my best friends who were as famous as I was there.
- "Here comes the queen!!". They exclaimed as I walked over to them.
- My name is Amelia Clark, the only child of my parents and I'm classified as ultimately beautiful, classy, popular, and wealthy due to my parents's fortune.
- But I hate it when anyone tries to take my place like my so-called step-sister, Ashley.
- She's the result of the affair that my Dad had one night but whatever, she didn't get any of his wealth since she's illegitimate.
- "Hey. You okay? Come join us".
- "Drew cheated on me". I blurted out sitting on the tiles and dipping my legs in the pool.
- "Seriously? Amelia, why are you getting so worked up? You kissed his best friend, Dan at the party last week". Bee said and Rose chuckled.
- "I only did that to get Ashley jealous and ruin her relationship because she doesn't deserve to be happy with her".
- Bee drank from her cocktail. "Why do you hate her anyways? I like her".
- "She's so annoying and dumb, I was to be the only child but then she came along like the mistake she is".
- "Chill, Amelia, take a deep breath". Rose soothed me.
- "As I said, Drew cheated on me and took another girl to his main mansion".
- "How do you know that?".
- "I paid off one of his maids who work there and she told me everything".
- "Wait. So Drew took a girl to his place and he has never even taken you there".
- I clenched my fists. "I'm so furious about it and she even got to meet his daughter".
- "But why are you so hell-bent on meeting his daughter? I thought you said that he didn't want you to meet her?".
- "Bee, if I get introduced to Kim and she likes me then who knows if Drew might propose to me?". I told them.
- "You make a good point but I don't think Drew is gonna take you to go meet her".
- "Don't you think I know that?". I snapped at Bee.
- "So Lauren, who's the bitchy girl that Drew met with?".
- I shrugged. "I don't know, for now, the maid didn't tell me who she was".
- "Well, I guess you should find out so we can go give her a piece of our mind". Rose suggested.
- "You are right". I smirked. "We should pay a visit to that fucking bitch, no one dares to compete with me for Drew".
- Emily
- "Ash!!". I yelled pushing her off the bed.
- She groaned. "Can't I get to sleep again?".
- "You've had enough sleep, Ash. It's 8:00 am, and on a Monday morning, you got work to do, remember?".
- She hurriedly stood up. "Oh shit!! Fuck!! I had forgotten already".
- "Well, you better get your lazy ass up and go get your bath, girl".
- She looked at me. "Where are you going all dressed up like this?".
- "To work, I have an interview".
- "You look hot".
- "And you need to bathe". I reminded her.
- "Yeah, you are right. I better go early if I don't wanna get fired".
- I stopped her. "You did remember to take those pills on Saturday? Right?".
- "Oh My Gosh!!". She tapped her forehead frustratingly. "I forgot?".
- "What?". I shrieked. "How could you forget to do that?".
- She chuckled lightly. "Stop freaking out, Emily. I took them".
- "Right". I breathed out a sigh of relief. "You better not be lying right now".
- "I'm not but think about it, Emily. If I have a child, he might be cute like me".
- "And think about it, Ash. If you have a child then you got no home because I don't want any baby crawling around me at all".
- "Good luck with your job interview". She flopped back on the bed.
- I crossed my arms. "Don't tell me you want to go back to sleep".
- "Don't think you are running late?".
- I rolled my eyes at her and grabbed all the things I needed walking out the room door.
- In seconds, I had made my way to where my car was parked but stopped. Maybe I shouldn't take it along, they might think I'm comfortable and don't need the job.
- Minutes later...
- "Just here". I told the driver as he stopped his cab at the spot.
- I shoved the money in his hands. "Thank you".
- I came out of the cab and headed straight to the building when a Mercedes just drove past me and splashed water on me.
- I frowned immediately and stopped to go face the moron that did this. He's going to have to wash these clothes for me or else.
- The car stopped and the driver came out revealing that proud Drew’s friend. The guy whose name was Dave.
- "Hey moron". I called after him. "Look at what you did".
- He stopped facing me. "What did you just call me?".
- "Don't you have eyes? Huh? Couldn't you have driven well?".
- He crossed his arms. "Why do you always like causing trouble, miss? First, it was at the club then here?".
- "It's not my fault that imbeciles always have to show up wherever I am". I retorted.
- "I need to go to work and you are delaying me, Miss".
- I let out a scoff. "Not an apology?".
- "Why should I apologize? You were in my way".
- "You better apologize or else you are going to be missing a bone in a minute now".

- Ashley
- "Thank you for dining here, we hope you were satisfied with your meal". I said to the customer and went directly back.
- "Hey, Ashley".
- I smiled thinly. "Lindsey".
- "You look stressed out and we are still in the morning".
- "I'm glad you noticed". I said sarcastically loosening the apron I wore.
- "Woah, woah. What are you doing? Your shift isn't over yet".
- "I'm just so tired, Lindsey". I whined.
- "Table 12 needs your attention, missy".
- I huffed angrily and walked back to the main restaurant straight to table 12.
- "Good morning, can I please take you... ". I trailed off seeing him.
- He grinned at me. "Good morning to you too, Ashley".
- "Drew?". I shrieked. "What are you doing here?".
- "I missed you".
- "What?".
- He chuckled. "It's a restaurant and I am here to eat".
- "How am I not sure that you didn't follow me here?".
- "You have no proof".
- "Oh shut up".
- "I say you look different from two days ago when you were with me". He said winking at me.
- I crossed my arms. "Drew Renolds, what we had two nights ago was a mistake".
- "A hot mistake, right?".
- I held my pen to the writing pad. "What would you like to have?".
- "You?".
- I frowned slightly. "Be serious, Drew. I'm working here".
- "I love your blue eyes".
- "I will walk away".
- He chuckled again. "How about we go talk somewhere? I need to have some alone time with you, Brianna".
- "Sorry, but I'm busy with that". I rolled my eyes at him and made to walk away when he stopped me again.
- I groaned facing him. "What now?".
- "Well I figured out that you were going to reject me so do you remember that you had forgotten something at my place?".
- "Huh?".
- I gasped as he brought out purple panties swinging them around on his fingers.
- "Drew put that down". I hissed. "What are you doing?".
- He smirked. "Now can I have some alone time with you?".
