Chapter 61

• Timothy had followed Baz’s scent to the house and ultimately saved our lives. I was furious when we arrived back at the house because everyone was fine, except Tom who had been killed in the basement when Joseph’s men broke Carson out. Nobody had even realized that they were in the house or that Rylee was missing.
• They realized that shit had hit the fan when Jasper, Brandon and Rev arrived back at the house and Timothy took off in a hurry leaving behind just the rustling of leaves. We couldn’t find any evidence of Joseph having any other children and I had to assume that he had lied about it.
• The new Elders took notice of the deaths and listened in silence as I made my statement and they made notes and announced that the McIntyre line was now dead. I was vindicated and in the end we took in about ten of the McIntyre members who had nowhere else to go.
