Chapter 11 Tempting Him Over And Over Again

  • Bianca responded promptly.
  • "Oh, the seven sets of alluring lingerie? One for each day of the week. Take your time examining them. If you don't like the styles, no worries. I can send over a few more sets."
  • Carol felt like she was going crazy. She could almost envision Bianca's suggestive smile.
  • "No, thank you!"
  • "Why? You're starting a family with your hastily married husband now. By next month, you should be ready to have a baby. At the engagement banquet for that detestable couple, you can hold your dear husband with one hand and touch your precious baby with another hand. Make them envious!"
  • Carol's mouth twitched.
  • She realized that she and Bianca were completely on different wavelengths.
  • In college, Bianca loved reading romance novels.
  • Although Bianca had only been in one relationship and had not made any significant progress with her boyfriend, she had an adventurous spirit and seemed experienced.
  • Furthermore, her marriage to this fake Jayden was only temporary.
  • Perhaps when David and Selly got engaged, she would take him to confront them and then end the charade. How could anything happen, let alone having a baby?
  • Carol was so engrossed in texting Bianca that she didn't notice the man in front had stopped walking.
  • The next thing she knew, she crashed straight into his strong embrace.
  • A pleasant, refreshing scent filled her nose as she was enveloped in the tall man's arms, feeling oddly secure. Carol felt her face flush, almost as if she was about to burst into flames.
  • "Um…" Carol touched her sore forehead.
  • She quickly took two steps back and said, "I'm sorry."
  • Jayden furrowed his eyebrows tightly, finding it hard to believe this woman was persistently trying to seduce him.
  • It was such a low-level trick. Did she not know that he had already seen through her?
  • Jayden asked coldly, "Which way?"
  • Carol awkwardly pointed ahead and said, "This way."
  • They walked towards the apartment in silence. Carol didn't dare to use her phone anymore.
  • Finally, they arrived at the apartment.
  • Fortunately, there was an elevator, sparing Jayden from carrying the luggage up and down and saving them from a repeat of the earlier embarrassing situation.
  • Jayden had helped along the way without any complaints.
  • It was as if he naturally possessed gentlemanly qualities, unlike David, who always acted like a wealthy young master with an air of superiority. He would never bother to help with such things.
  • Carol's impression of Jayden was improving.
  • She opened the apartment door, and the room layout came into view.
  • It was a cozy one-bedroom apartment with simple yet bright and clean furnishings like a bed and a sofa.
  • Initially, Carol had considered it quite spacious. However, as Jayden's tall figure stepped in, she suddenly felt the space shrink around her.
  • Although the apartment was furnished, there was still a need to buy some bedding and other essentials.
  • Carol placed her suitcase to the side and glanced at Jayden.
  • She assumed that Bianca must have given him her address and that he was moving in with her.
  • After considering for a moment, she hesitantly asked, "When are you planning to move in?"
  • Finally, she voiced her question.
  • Jayden's gaze fell on Carol's belly as if he could see through her like an X-ray.
  • "Move in?"
  • Carol didn't know what he was thinking, but she felt his gaze was particularly piercing.
  • She nodded and said, "Yeah, that's right. I don't stay at the Lawfords' place. Are you here to live with me?"
  • Asking when he would move in was also to prepare herself mentally.
  • After thinking momentarily, Carol continued, "I have time tomorrow and the day after. But after that, I have to go to Hensea Group to paint, so I might not be able to help you move after that."
  • She looked up at him and said, "What about tomorrow? Is that okay?"
