Chapter 126 Resolve

• The rest of the day felt like an iceberg the size of the earth had fallen, the surrounding felt cold with guilt, frustration, and unease flying in the air. Will stared at Zayn seated in front of the cameras while he handled the interview like he hadn't just burst out in anger some hours ago.
• He had managed to push the interview by a few hours, and thankfully that was all they needed. Newton had gotten another car over and they had headed back to the house, Zayn had helped press on an ice pack on his cheek until the redness had faded even when he kept telling him he was fine, and that ice was mostly used for swelling. But he let him do it regardless, because he could tell Zayn was angry.
• Zayn kept exhaling and letting out big sighs, he wouldn't stop apologizing with a look that made Will wish he had managed to dodge the slap, and worst of all, he looked hurt. Yet, despite how his smile focused on the camera shone like the appeal he gave off, Will knew him too well to notice the slight squint in his eyes and the way he kept feeling the knuckle of his index finger.
