Chapter 10

"It's a relief to get home," Ashley said, letting out a tired yawn and kicking off her shoes.
"I assume your mother isn't here?" Luther inquired, closing the door behind them.
"I'm not totally sure," Ashley said, heading to the kitchen. As she opened the refrigerator to get a drink, she noticed a handwritten letter on the counter. Recognizing her mother's handwriting, she couldn't resist reading the contents.
