Chapter 2 Unable To Fall Asleep
- An Xiaoxiao didn’t want any of Zhan Lengrui's nude pictures now. She would be extremely grateful to be able to get out of here alive.
- The lass feigned innocence and explained, “Un-Uncle, I was actually sleepwalking. When a person sleepwalks, they don't know what they're doing.”
- Seeing that Zhan Lengrui remained calm, An Xiaoxiao told herself that she might as well be bold.
- She decisively bent her right leg and exerted forcefully upwards.
- Soft muffled grunts resounded in her ears.
- Zhan Lengrui drew in a sharp breath of air through clenched teeth, and because of the severe pain, a deep hostility emanated from his body.
- Keenly sensing that something was wrong, An Xiaoxiao rolled out of the bed and fled.
- It would've been foolish not to run for Zhan Lengrui had looked murderous and terrifying.
- Hearing the door opening and closing, he knew that the little slip of a thing had run away.
- He lay in bed for a while before the pain eased slightly.
- Exhaling, Zhan Lengrui picked up the phone which she had left behind and turned it off before closing his eyes.
- He wondered if he would be able to sleep at all.
- The next day, An Xiaoxiao woke up early in the morning because she didn't want to be late for her exam.
- Truth be told, she didn't want to meet Zhan Lengrui so she had to get up extra early.
- What happened last night was too humiliating for an eighteen-year-old young girl like An Xiaoxiao.
- It didn't matter if she had to face Zhan Lengrui in the future; all she wanted to right now was to forget that spectacularly embarrassing scene from the night before and to leave before he woke up.
- However, her wish wasn't granted!
- An Xiaoxiao had just walked out of her room when a tall figure appeared in her peripheral vision.
- Coincidentally, Zhan Lengrui was stepping out of his room too.
- Both of them stopped and looked at each other. While the man looked calm, An Xiaoxiao was so embarrassed that she wished the floor would open up and swallow her whole.
- Thinking about last night, she quickly averted her eyes.
- Bravely, she tried to maintain a superficial calmness as she waved her hand and greeted him, “Hi, uncle. Good morning.”
- Her sweet voice was music to the ears.
- Zhan Lengrui's thin lips unintentionally tugged into a smile. Opening his mouth, his voice was taut, “Good morning.”
- An Xiaoxiao smiled adorably and pretended to be calm as she walked past him.
- Behind her, Zhan Lengrui's voice echoed, leaving An Xiaoxiao mortified.
