• It was raining heavily as Ruth pounded on the door to her best friend's house. The lights of the house weren't on and her best friend's car wasn't in the driveway, but she was so enraged that she didn't care. She was about to give up on the door and just crash through the front window when the light in the front hall came on and the door opened.
• "What in the hell..." Her best friend's dad looked furious until he saw her. His jaw dropped as he looked at her, and he was silent for some moment. "Hey! Ruth, what's going on?"
• "Where is she, Mr. Lesnar?" she asked, her face flushed. "I need to speak with Kelly right now."
