• I groaned, stretching my leg at an awkward angle as my back arched off the bed. It was weird, and uncomfortable, and I was more than sure that I looked like a possessed cat manifesting their demonic qualities, but it was able to soothe the sting in my lower back and arms and that was enough for me.
• I turned my head to find already staring at me, his gaze heavy and judgmental. He gave me a once over, his eyebrows furrowing as he most likely wondered how he ended up with me.
