• Donald Grey had never felt so helpless. Hearing Rosy’s scream left him more shaken than ever. The knowledge that she had been like this since the previous evening riled him up like nothing else. But he also knew that whatever he was feeling was the tip of the iceberg to whatever Santos was feeling. Donald could practically see the fear and pain in his next words after that pained scream from the bedroom.
• “Goddamnit! Rosy made me a promise! She promised she’d never leave herself to suffer that way. She promised to find relief elsewhere if it ever started!” Santos made a hush-shout.
• Donald reared back in shock. That was news to him. “Let me get this right. She made you a promise that she would sate her hunger when the urge arose? You are okay with it?”
