Chapter 20 Aftermath

• The luminous light which beamed on my sealed eyelids indicated that morning had arrived even before I opened my eyes. I had no desire to open my eyes. I kept them close for some time, savoring the serene silence of the morning.
• But even I was aware that I couldn’t evade reality for long. I let my eyelids flutter open and inhaled deeply. As I rose from the bed, the events of the previous night crashed through my mind.
