Chapter 4 Darling, I'm Here to Save You

  • You're not just strange, you look terrifying! I answered in my heart.
  • I took several deep breaths to calm myself down.
  • Lestrax Noble Academy was built around an ancient castle with a long history and some eerie legends.
  • When I first enrolled, I heard that some people made deals with the demons in the castle. After they died, the demons would use their fragmented souls to create monsters that roamed the places they used to live.
  • Is the Yelena in front of me one of these demon's creations?
  • She seems to be wandering the place she once lived, not trying to harm me.
  • Although Monster Yelena isn't dangerous for now, she's like a ticking time bomb. I don't want to be alone with her.
  • I got out of bed while trembling in fear and walked toward the door.
  • "Samantha, where are you going so late?" Yelena's desk was by the door. Just as I reached for the handle, she turned to ask me.
  • Her dangling eyeball wobbled, and up close, I could see her rotting flesh falling off her body.
  • I suppressed my disgust and answered, "I-I'm going out to make a call."
  • I hurried toward the door, but in my haste, I accidentally bumped into Yelena's desk.
  • A small mirror on her desk fell to the floor and shattered, reflecting the monster's face.
  • In the next moment, I saw Monster Yelena stunned in place.
  • My heart sank.
  • I'm dead meat.
  • I quickly reached for the doorknob, trying to escape, but she swiftly crawled over and grabbed my arm.
  • Her hand was cold and sticky, sending a chill down my spine. I felt nauseous as I tried to break free from her grip, but her grotesque face suddenly came close to me.
  • A strong stench of blood hit me, making me gag.
  • "Samantha! Why are you running from me? Don't go! Don't go!"
  • Yelena screamed hysterically. Her dangling eyeball finally fell to the ground.
  • I struggled desperately, accidentally stepping on something.
  • Splat!
  • My mind went blank as I looked downward.
  • I had stepped on Yelena's fallen eyeball, crushing it.
  • Yelena trembled even more violently after seeing her eye crushed.
  • "Samantha! How dare you crush my eye! I'm going to kill you!"
  • Yelena was filled with rage. She screamed and choked my neck with both hands.
  • Being a monster, Yelena had terrifying strength. She choked me until I was gasping for breath. I struggled in vain to break free.
  • Yelena's empty eye sockets looked like bloody holes, and her remaining eye was blood red.
  • As I was about to black out, I only had one thing on my mind.
  • Someone, please help! Save me!
  • Then, I felt a cold breeze from behind.
  • The next moment, Yelena looked extremely frightened and her grip on my neck loosened.
  • I took the chance to break free from her and tried to rush out the door. But before I could, something cold touched my shoulder.
  • I shivered, and the next second, I was pulled into an icy embrace.
  • "Darling, I'm here to save you," a cold, pleasant voice whispered in my ear.
  • I turned around and saw a man behind me.
  • He had long hair that reached his ankles and he was dressed in a black robe that exposed his chest. I had to look up to see his face because he was tall.
  • His face was pale, with curved horns on either side of his head. His handsome features were like sculpture. He was staring intently at me with his blood-red eyes.
  • I was shocked by the stranger.
  • Who is this horned man?
  • Why did he suddenly appear in my dorm?
  • And why … did he look familiar?
