Chapter 19
- Liri expected to feel the panic of falling, but instead, she felt like she was flying through the air. It was very windy, with her hair being pulled. It was much louder than she’d anticipated, but she didn’t care. Her heart sped up, and she had to work on keeping her breath. This was amazing. She had just jumped from a plane. Remembering what Abraham had said, she wrapped her legs around him and hugged his chest. Her whole body warmed, and she knew it wasn’t from the excitement of the jump. The problem was that she didn’t know what she should do about it.
- A sudden shift brought her back to the fact that she’d just jumped out of a plane. There was a jerk, and the speed they were falling changed, and she glanced up to see the chute opened above them. She could feel his muscles shifting against her body as he maneuvered them to safety.
- “You have to hang on and keep your legs up for the landing.” He spoke into her ear.
