Chapter 81 Mixed Reactions
- "Being an orphan is neither a badge of honor nor something to celebrate," Joshua said, his voice calm but firm. "Being an orphan doesn't mean we're behind everyone else, nor does it automatically equate to tragedy. I've always thought I turned out pretty well. As for my so-called family—some died of rotten hearts, others from insanity, and a few just dropped dead unexpectedly. Nonetheless, I consider their deaths a blessing."
- He paused, his gaze unwavering as the crowd hung on his every word.
- "Because they're gone, I've been able to strive for a better life. So don't pity them. Yes, their deaths were pitiful, but it's only by their complete absence that they've done justice to society, to their family, and most importantly, to me."
