• I drag mom out of the room, fuming. Mom tries to stop me, but I didn’t listen. I force her out and hail a taxi to go back. We were two block away front the hospital when I realized I don’t have my phone. Damn, I got excited and drop it on the couch.
• We went back to the hospital and mom insists on going up with me. she wants to get glimpse of dad before she leaves. I scoff and make her promise to stay outside the room. She agrees.
