• I heard glass breaking in the kitchen and looked up from my phone screen. When I got there, I witnessed Gloria cleaning up the orange juice that had spilled all over the kitchen island. I approached her, shaking my head at the shards of glass scattered across the floor. Gloria glanced at me, then bent down to pick up the shattered glass.
