• The rest of the day goes by smoothly with no mention of Jackson or the phone call. If Calum knows something, he doesn’t act it.
• Monday rolls in with its usual dullness. I have Calum’s class today. It’s the only thing I look forward to while dreading any encounter with Jackson.
• Jackson hasn’t called or texted but I saw him on my way inside the school. I can’t say if it’s a coincidence. The back and forth from Saturday is still fresh in my mind. It was so unlike him. I pull out my phone from my purse to read through our chats.
