Chapter 512 New Skills
- This chapter explores the story behind a broken patterned plate known as the "True Dragon Entering the Sea." According to legend, this artifact was given to Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty by a wandering Taoist. It remained a secret treasure in the palace, known only to a few chief eunuchs. After Emperor Taizu's death, the plate's whereabouts became unknown.
- The Ghost Eye Manual describes the True Dragon Entering the Sea in the same way as Shen Zhicheng sees it now. However, the plate appears to have never been submerged in water, as it is dry on the surface with traces of ash on the bottom.
- Typically, the age of jade is determined by examining its craftsmanship, shape, and patterns. The True Dragon Entering the Sea, however, has a rough artistic style and looks like it has been pieced together, making it difficult for experts to give it a high valuation.
