Chapter 6 Why You Are Following Me?

  • Avery P.O.V.
  • After Art class...
  • I was walking down the hallway, and I was alone, but I felt like being watched. I look behind me. I saw Jason and his boys watching me.
  • He pointed at his watch around his wrist.
  • I saw him mouth "tick-tock." I rolled my eyes, groaned under my breath, turned around, and walked to my next class.
  • Gym! Yeah, I am so excited to be in this class, I thought with a groan of frustration and blah with no motivation inside myself. I had a hard long three hours of school. I am ready for it to be over.
  • Okay, I got six more hours, and I will be home free.
  • I can do it. I just have to make it to the end of school, and I bed home up in my room and relax reading the books my parents bought me that I love.
  • I am an old soul; my parents would say about me.
  • I can picture it now, home going in the kitchen and getting my mom's famous chicken potpie and her peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
  • I moaned, just thinking about the yummy food once I got home.
  • I sigh with a hopeful feeling, knowing I will be safe behind my doors in my house.
  • Science class next then lunch...
  • I walked inside Mr. Howell's classroom, and I saw him standing in front of the chalkboard; he drew a big circle and a triangle.
  • That was when I saw he was drawing a volcano.
  • I guess we are going to be making a science project of the Volcanoes for a school grade.
  • "Now class settles down, and I will tell you what we will do this first day back from winter break." Mr. Howell said.
  • That sounds fun, but I don't have Ashely and Natalie in here; I hope it's not a team project. The people in here don't like me. So, I couldn't team up with anyone here because they won't.
  • What in the hell, why did Mr. Howell team me up with Duke Conaway he a dirtbag, and he creeps me out," He not ugly or anything by far of it. He is a handsome and gorgeous guy with dark blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He looks like the all-American football nice guy, but his fake. So, yeah, he is nothing but a sweet and all-around good-mannered guy.
  • He is like the total opposite of a good and sweet guy.
  • So, if you must know why I am mad and upset, I am partnering up with him to make a volcano in two weeks, and we need to start right away. But he doesn't want to start yet. He says he wants to wait and just have fun.
  • I know what fun he is talking about; I don't think so; I shivered, thinking about how he makes my skin crawl.
  • After we talked about what we were going to do with our school project.
  • We decided to meet at the library, but Duke was angering me about doing it at his house. But I told him I didn't feel comfortable.
  • He rolled his eyes.
  • I told him we go to the library it be better than no place I told him.
  • He sighed, and we went back to the drawing board and made-up ideas.
  • We were writing down ideas, and we were excited to plan and make the volcano that we didn't hear the lunch bell.
  • Once I looked up, I saw the big handle pointing down and the little handle pointing up.
  • My stomach rumbled, and I knew I was hungry.
  • I smiled because it was lunchtime.
  • Avery P.O.V
  • I sometimes didn't understand why I draw things that don't make sense, but I did it; it was a part of me being a witch-siren because of my mother's side. I was staring at what I drew, and I was still trying to figure out why I did this? When I was thinking what and why I drew the beautiful girl with platinum blonde hair and the guy with Midnight blue. When I heard his voice.
  • "Hey, sweet cheeks! Nope, it's just you!" He said, laughing. I looked at him when I saw his smile on his face, and then I looked down and started tearing out the paper. I started putting it away before he saw it. Then I turned the pad back and got a whole new sheet of paper ready to draw. God, I wanted to scream! Why was he in my Art class now? Bad enough, he's in my homeroom and Math, and now Art!
  • He sat beside me; I started getting flush and nervous when he was that close. I was trying not to look beside me at him. "No! Avery, don't stare! Don't stare," I kept telling myself that. But somewhere deep inside my heart. I still liked him. But I knew I shouldn't because I have a mate out there. I didn't want to ruin my chance if he saw me flirting with Elijah Woods here.
  • "Well, Wallflower! What you have there?" He asked me when he tried to grab my paper sticking out under the pad book.
  • "It's none of your business," I told him with confidence. I went back, ignoring him.
  • He didn't like that when I told him. It wasn't his business. He grabbed my shirt and pulled me closer toward his face.
  • "Listen up, pet! It's my business! So, you better watch your attitude, princess." He growled in my face.
  • When he told me how it would be from now on, oh, yeah, I thought, rolling my eyes at him. I couldn't believe I did that. I looked at him and his reaction on his face. He could not believe I told him that by not hiding and cowling away from him.
  • I wanted to run and die somewhere, so he didn't hurt me or kill me himself. So, I did the best thing I could do. I raised my hand at the teacher.
  • "Yes, Avery!" Miss Waters said with a smile.
  • "May I go to the bathroom, please?" I asked her hoping she let me go.
  • "Yes, Go ahead, Miss Williams!" She told me. I got off the seat and started walking to the door.
  • When I heard him say?
  • "Miss Waters?"
  • "Yes, Mr. Woods," I heard Miss Waters say.
  • "Can I use the bathroom too?" He spoke. I thought, oh God, leave now. He will follow me, probably beat me up now, or worse, punish me. Or he is going to watch me use the bathroom.
  • Oh, God! What a creep and pervert. Suppose this was his idea the whole time watching me. I walked out the door, and I was in the hallway. So, that's was when I heard footsteps behind me. I didn't want to look behind me. Because if I did, He would know I am scared of him, and I am nervous around him. I was really, but I needed to stop being afraid because of him. So I started walking at a faster pace.
  • I was going to the bathroom.
  • I started walking around the corner.
  • "I am almost there," I told myself under my breath. I got one more corner. I will be home free and safe from Elijah Woods. So, I told myself to look behind me, which is what I did. I looked over my shoulder. I let out a release of air. When I saw nothing. Elijah Woods was nowhere behind me. I smiled and took a breath, and let it out. I started walking to the bathroom. I just got one more corner around to the bathroom. I will be there.
  • I didn't know that he was not behind me anymore, but he took a shortcut. So now he was in front of me. So I get around the corner. On t the wall and his body on top of mine.
  • I can't believe I had a crush on these assholes!
  • I stopped liking it a long time ago. But, I kept my eyes on her.
  • I thought about the first picture I drew, and it looked like Angelstar, but I could be wrong. So why did I draw this?
  • I sometimes didn't understand why I draw things that don't make sense, but I did it; it was a part of me being a witch-siren because of my mother's side. I was staring at what I drew, and I was still trying to figure out why I did this? When I was thinking what and why I drew the beautiful girl with platinum blonde hair and the guy with Midnight blue. • I let out a gasp. When I saw him leading up on the wall with a knowing smirk on his face. He started walking towards me.
  • "Well, the table has turned, Princess." He said walking towards me.
  • Oh, God! I am dead! Yep, no way to go, Avery, you got the monster all worked up he wanted to play. And Guessed who he wanted to play with? Yep, you guessed it. Little stupid Avery Williams, as in me!
  • "Hey, nerd!" He said right in my face. I tried to back up, but he wouldn't let me step back.
  • "Hey! Hold up!" he said by grabbing my arm. I was shocked and confused why he followed me.
  • "Elijah Woods, why you are following me and why you are standing outside the girl's bathroom?". So I asked him. He kind of laughed it off.
  • He pointed at himself and spoke.
  • "Why? Would I be following you?" Now, why did you think I am following you?" He said with a serious expression on his face with amused in his eyes. I could tell he was lying to me about following me. I knew he was. Matter of fact why would he be outside the girl's bathroom?
  • "Why, would you be out here following me, then Elijah Woods!" I told him with my arms across my chest. That was when I heard him laughing. "What?" I thought to myself. I had my eyes on his mouth. What a mouth he has too. Then I was thinking about what it would be like to kiss his lips. My eyes didn't leave his lips. I didn't know he stop laughing and then he stands still staring at me with confusion and amusement in his eyes.
