• Vera hurried up to Charles' room, and a deep gasp of shock escaped her mouth as she met Charles lying lifelessly on the bathroom floor.
• “Oh, my goodness!” She screamed out, and then ran into the bathroom. “Come on, let's take him downstairs.” Vera urged, and both her and the maid carried Charles downstairs.
• As soon as they laid him down in the sitting room, Vera hurriedly took out her phone, and dialed a hospital's number for an ambulance.
