Chapter 12 The Family Company

• "What?!" She snapped at me, obviously not caring the extent her words had probably damaged Blake.
• "Why would you even say something like that?!" I dropped the dust catcher I was holding.
• My gaze swept temporarily to see Blake's reaction to what his sister had either ignorantly said or meanly uttered. He appeared defeated. I noticed his face fall and despite his cold words to me earlier, pangs of pity tugged at my heart.
