I go from town to town to city; I am amazed at how much distance she manages to cover in such a short amount of time. No wonder the S.D.E. had such a hard time catching her.
• I got a message from Nathaniel a few days after leaving telling me that the werewolf from that night in the ballroom woke up the next morning with a banger of a headache and the question of what the hell happened. As he didn't ask where Skylar was as soon as he woke, that gave me enough confirmation that he wasn't her mate, and I let out a sigh of relief.
