Chapter 44 The Date
- Maya turned left and then right, her lips were pursed as she examined herself in the mirror. Her date was in less than twenty minutes and while she had brought out the outfit earlier, she was beginning to doubt it would be appropriate for the occasion. She had done light makeup, wearing only dark red lipstick that matched the dress in bold, shiny lines. This was the second time he was asking her out for dinner and she had expectations on how the night would play out.
- Memories of their first dinner rushed into her head and she clenched her thighs together in response. Maya shook her head, and returned her focus to the mirror,
