Chapter 233 Helpless

• “The hell I will!” She spat. Whirling and fleeing back into the woods.
• I stood where I was. Watching her go. I’d never felt so disgustingly helpless in my life. I watched until she was gone from view. And then I sat and watched the sun cresting the horizon in the distance. Waiting for her scent to recede and listening to her steps fading. Knowing that wherever they’d take her, would be just as dangerous as where she’d been.
