Chapter 2 No Accomodation? Oh Shoot!

• ANNA'S POV
• Son of a bloody cunt!
• Finally making my way through the crowd so I could get a seat, I calmed down for a minute and thought about why I overreacted. It probably was an accident.
• "Whatever!"
• I said waving it off my mind, it was only weighing me down.
• The hall was already packed and filled to the brim. Students from all walks of life were present. I already accepted my fate to stand for the whole time here since I couldn't find any place to sit, when someone close tapped me.
• I looked down to meet the eyes of the person I cursed at outside.
• "Sit here"
• He gestured, showing me a seat right next to his.
• "I kind of saved it for you. I figured you'll need it since you stood for extra five minutes outside, cursing the hell out of me"
• I rolled my eyes in utter disgust before I clapped back at him.
• "Are you helping me or not! You're nothing but a crazy stalker and a pervert! Gosh, saving me a seat? As if. Surely you don't expect me to be your bed warmer in advance. I've heard a whole lot about you college boys!!"
• My voice kept going and higher as I hurled insults on him.
• He didn't even budge. He just stared at me. And so did everyone else. I felt crazy.
• I couldn't stand it, so I had to leave the hall.
• I could feel everyone's gaze on me, I almost peed on my pants as I staggered out of there because my knees gave way and I couldn't walk properly anymore.
• I just disgraced myself, gosh.
• I needed someone to calm me down.
• Then I remembered I had a cute friend. I pulled out my phone from my bag and put a call across.
• "Heyy!! How are you?"
• "Well. I guess I'm alright"
• "What's wrong now? You've arrived right? You don't seem to be at the orientation hall though, I can't hear any overbearing noises"
• "Yes you're right, can you come pick me up please. I've had such a fucked up day and I'm sad"
• "I'm sorry sweetie. Where are you thoi, I just finished my last class for the day so I'm around campus"
• "Really? I'm close to the orientation hall though"
• "Let me come get you then"
• We stayed on the call because, why not?
• She took two minutes to get here but it felt like forever!
• But she finally came, and I couldn't believe how well she had changed. She was different, really pretty.
• I rammed into her and gave her a long hug.
• "Gosh it's been so long!"
• "I know, you look good, I'm so glad you're here. Come on, let's show you around"
• That's when I noticed her friend that came with her.
• "Hello"
• I said waving. That's when Karina took initiative and introduced us.
• "Oh yeah. Anna, this is Leah. We offer the same major and we're also roommates, and Leah, this is Anna, my best friend in the whole world"
• "Oh my, so this is the bestie you won't stop talking about "
• She shifted her gaze from Karina and smiled before she embraced me.
• "I've heard a lot of good things about you,so a friend of Karina is a friend of mine. I hope we get along well"
• "Me too!"
• "Come on, let's go!"
• Karina butted in and we were on our way out of the orientation hall arena. Thank goodness, I got first hand embarrassment there, I hope no one will remember.
• We finally arrived at a spot, it was a waterfall and a garden.
• "So this is where everyone comes to chill. It's really big and is very accommodating. Plus everyone minds their business, no one's gonna get in your hair"
• "Oh wow. Can you take some pictures of me? It's my first day here and I want to cherish this moment forever "
• "Sure, we'll take one with me in it!"
• We joked around all day then finally stopped at a little cafe to get soda and lemonade. The weather was super hot because.
• "Come on, let's go to my dorm and chill. I've got to drop these books and rest a little"
• "Yeah sure"
• Soon enough we got to the dormitory and I checked out their rooms. Beautiful.
• "So where's your room?"
• "Mine? I need a room?"
• "Of course, you don't plan to come all the way from home everyday right?"
• Then it hit me, no wonder I felt as if I was missing something all morning.
• I haven't gotten a room.
• "I'm supposed to pay for it too, right? I saved up only tuition money, I didn't even realize it"
• "Oh my! What are we gonna do now? And school starts next week!"
• "You know what?I'll pay for it this year. Then you can save up and start paying from next year. How does that sound?"
• "Really, you'll do that for me? Thanks so much"
• My eyes lit up upon hearing the good news. Karina is indeed the coolest.
• "Come on! Let's go meet the dorm mistress. She could put a room for you together. It's already too late in my opinion since students rush it alot, but let's try"
• We ran down and went straight to her office to see her. But she wasn't on seat. We waited for about an hour before she strolled In. She seemed to be in her early fifty's, looking pretty and elegant in her glasses.
• "What do you want?"
• Her voice was kind of croaky but at least she smiled.
• "Are there rooms left?"
• "No there isn't, you came to late"
• Those words broke me. What was I gonna do, where was I gonna live? I can't forfeit everything just because of this.
• We stood up from her office and left the building. I needed time to think, where could help come from?
• We were in that state when Karina's face suddenly lit up and she tapped me.
• "My brother!! He stays off campus. Maybe we could ask if you could stay with him for the year? He's not the social type so I hope he agrees"
• "Really?"
• "Yes, he's my older brother but I got into school before him because he wasn't ready. He's a freshman just like you, so it would be easy to bond I guess"
• "Gosh, what would I do without you??"
• I embraced her in a hug that lasted for five minutes, I couldn't understand how I earned such a good friend.
• "She eventually put a call across and he picked it"
• They were on the phone and she told him what happened. They seemed to argue for a while and soon enough the call ended. She didn't look pleased.
• "So?"
• She suddenly smiled.
• "He agreed!"
• Best news I heard all year.
• A notification popped up on Karina's phone so she checked it out.
• "Oh shit!, they shifted the start of lectures to tomorrow from next week. What are you gonna do now?"
• "Just give me your brother's address, I'll try and sort myself out. The earlier I learned that the better for me"
• She eventually did and we parted ways.
• She went back to her lodge while I got a taxi straight to her brother's place. I hope he will be accommodating. But I guess I'll have to trust Karina on this one.
• I finally arrived at the address, but the building was confusing. It was a penthouse. Am I supposed to be here?
• Did she give me the right address?
• I tried my luck and got in. On the way there I saw some student vouchers for the school so I guess I was in the right place. I was, for sure.
• I got to the door but there wasn't really a knob. Just some voice activated password and a set of keypads. This is some next level rich.
• I stood there for a while trying to figure out a way to alert him about my arrival. I almost called Karina to ask but then I saw a switch and it rang. It was a doorbell.
• Thank goodness it rang.
• It took a while but it finally flung open. My head was down so I slowly lifted it up. He was shirtless, damn!
• "Hello, I'm Anna. Your sister said you let me stay here. Please I have nowhere else to go for now. Thanks so much for hearing me out. I'm quiet and understanding. I promise I won't be in your hair at all"
• I heard a slight chuckle.
• "And what if I want you to?"
• The voice sounded oddly familiar and I finally looked up completely to see who it was.
• I froze at the sight I saw.
• "Hi, I'm Adrian"
• He was the guy I accused of being a pervert and literally hurled insults all day at school.
