• I loved the way our parents shut her up. She was shallow, a bully with a tiny mind. She couldn't handle shit. Hell, she couldn't even take half of what she always wished out to people.
• We ate in silence. The lemon cake was no longer disgusting to me so I finished the one I had on my plate and took some more. When we finally finished, I stood up to leave.
