Chapter 44 Abandoned
- The good thing about being an assassin is that no one suspects you could pose a threat. In a city ruled by organized crime, everyone thinks the danger comes from the towering, menacing men who exude danger.
- The Cains had that threatening and grimy style, while I opted for more modern torture methods. I could have pursued medicine and performed various neurological surgeries, as I had desired when younger, but psychiatry intrigued me, so I abandoned that idea.
- The passion for opening up a body still lingered in me, which is why I loved torturing people using my scalpels and knowledge of anatomy. There was once when I took apart a man piece by piece. He was an abuser, and I made sure to be careful so that he lived as long as possible and suffered greatly.
