- I woke up to the quiet hum of morning, slipping out of bed without a sound. The sheets still carried his warmth, but I ignored the thought as I straightened them, smoothing out every crease. After a quick bath, I wrapped myself in a robe, letting my damp hair fall over my shoulders. My hand reached for the hairdryer, but I hesitated. The noise would wake him. With a sigh, I tucked it back into the drawer and reached for my body lotion instead.
