Chapter 4 Double Trouble

  • Talia POV
  • Blinking away the memories, I saw Olivia and Lizzy looking over at me with a worried expression showing clearly on their faces.
  • "Are you ok?" Olivia asked me with a worry clear in her voice.
  • I looked at her and gave her a smile, trying to reassure her and Lizzy about my state, answering, “Yes, I am fine, just had a slight unexpected journey to the memory world.”
  • Both of them said in unison, “Oh!” making me chuckle how sweet they were.
  • I reached out and took my glass of lemonade, taking a sip of a refreshing drink when Lizzy asked, “So what did you remember that was able to drag you down in the memory?”
  • Looking over the table at her, I smiled and said, “It is not up to me to reveal all the secrets as some are meant to stay still a mystery, but I can say it was a pleasant memory.”
  • I could see she wasn’t too happy with my answer, but still,
  • she didn’t push for me to say anything more as we shared some homemade cookies
  • and talked about the events that happened in this week while I was away.
  • “Do you think Annie will get through and be ok?” Olivia
  • asked me sometime later as I confirmed, answering, “I believe so, just she
  • needs a little more time.”
  • We stayed outside some more, chatting and having fun, when
  • we saw Tanner walking out from the backside of the house, walking straight
  • towards some young warriors.
  • “Seems they are done so maybe it would be good if we go and
  • check on Annie now?” Olivia said, standing up from her chair as the two of us
  • followed.
  • Slowly we walked through the garden, talking when suddenly,
  • Olivia grabbed my arm, making me stop walking and look at her.
  • I saw her eyes losing focus as she was about to lose
  • consciousness, making me react fast and grab her in the last moment before she
  • fell down onto the ground.
  • I tried calling her name, “Olivia? Olivia! Open your eyes.”
  • No response came out from her and just as I was about to try
  • using my powers to see what is wrong, Lizzy said in a weak voice, “Talia… I-I
  • don’t feel so good.”
  • Hearing Lizzy’s voice from behind me, I turned my head just
  • in time to see her body falling down.
  • I extended my hand fast, while still holding Olivia in my
  • lap. The light shone out from my palm as I spoke the words, “Prohibere!”
  • (Stop!)
  • Light shined from under Lizzy’s body as I tried to see how
  • to get them both inside the mansion.
  • While I was trying to see how to bring Olivia and Lizzy
  • inside, I heard a pair of footsteps approaching, making me look towards the
  • sound just to see a large figure as his eyes landed down on me, looking back
  • and forth from me over to Olivia in my lap and Lizzy that was being held up
  • above the ground with the help of my magic.
  • “Little help here, please!” I called out to him, making him
  • run directly towards us, wrapping his arms around Lizzy, and picking her up.
  • He walked with Lizzy in his arms towards Olivia and me and
  • said, “Here, give her to me.”
  • His free arm picked Olivia up as I stood up soon as she was
  • in his hold.
  • “We should bring them fast inside, just be careful how you
  • carry them,” I told him as he wasted no time and carried the two inside.
  • I walked right behind him, looking at each girl that was on
  • his shoulders as he carried them in.
  • A gasp sounded as an older female said, “Dios Mio!”
  • “Rosa, show Damon where Lizzy’s room is. It would be best if
  • we put them in their rooms.” I said fast as the older female rushed ahead,
  • leading the way for Damon to follow.
  • Soon as we reached inside Lizzy’s room, he gently placed her
  • in bed, while Rosa returned from the joined bathroom with a wet towel, placing
  • it over Lizzy’s forehead.
  • “Rosa, could you please stay here with Lizzy until I return
  • and check on her?” I asked the older female as I reached the door with Damon,
  • who was now carrying Olivia bridal style.
  • “Si, of course,” Rosa answered while gently tapping the wet
  • towel over Lizzy’s head.
  • Damon and I rushed upstairs, reaching Olivia’s and Marcus’
  • floor.
  • I opened the door as Damon walked inside the room as I
  • rushed towards the bed, removing the covers so he could place her down.
  • Not waiting for him to reach the bed, I ran straight inside
  • the bathroom, searching around for a clean towel.
  • Finding all I needed, and drenching the towel in water, I
  • rushed outside the bathroom and saw Damon sitting next to Olivia, watching her
  • with worry in his eyes.
  • I walked directly to Olivia and placed the towel over her
  • forehead as Damon asked me, “What the hell happened?”
  • I looked up at him and saw him looking already at me, so I
  • answered, “I don’t know. Everything was fine, and we were about to walk back
  • inside to go and check out on Annie when Olivia grabbed my arm and lost
  • consciousness, then a minute later the same happened with Lizzy.”
  • His eyebrows narrowed over his eyes as he listened to my
  • explanation. He asked, “How can they just out of the blue lose consciousness?”
  • “I don’t know.” I honestly said.
  • “Can you do something about it?” he asked me.
  • I thought about what to do and decided I will try, I said,
  • “I will try.”
  • ***
  • Alodar POV
  • I watched through the glass down at my creations as a smile
  • crept on my face, knowing soon enough the time will come.
  • A door abruptly opened, slamming a second later, making my
  • blood boil as I rolled my eyes the moment I heard his voice.
  • “How much longer?!”
  • I heard Tyson ask in pure anger, but I kept my eyes down,
  • observing carefully that my plan goes spotless.
  • Slamming his fist down onto the table, he said the same words
  • louder this time, “How much longer?!!”
  • Slowly, I turned around, not showing off any emotion as I
  • slowly approached him.
  • He didn’t move away even when I stood just an inch away from
  • him, looking at me, provoking me, or maybe even testing me out.
  • Not liking any of the possibilities, I grabbed the collar of
  • his shirt, looking deep into his eyes. I spoke in a low, gravel tone, “Do not
  • test me, boy! If I want, I could just kill you here in a blink of an eye, so
  • remember that.”
  • I released his collar and walked to the liquor cabinet,
  • pouring myself something to drink as he said, “I’m sorry. I’m just tired of
  • waiting, Alodar.”
  • Pouring two glasses, I turned around and walked towards him,
  • offering him a drink.
  • Taking the drink, he gulped it down in one go as I slowly
  • drank mine.
  • I said, “You won’t need to wait for too long, but soon
  • enough in just a little more time, our plan will initiate and you will have
  • what your heart desires the most.”
  • He smiled widely, clinking our glasses as I gulped down the
  • rest of my drink.
