• Susan’s heart pounded, her breath catching in her throat. “You can’t be serious. What are you going to do, Leo? Kidnap your own child?”
• Leo’s lips pressed into a thin line. He didn’t answer.
• Susan let out a bitter laugh, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Of course. That’s exactly how you handle things, isn’t it? Bully and threaten until you get your way. Well, I'm not going to let you do that to me. I'm not one of your men and I'm not afraid of you.”
