Chapter 147

• Clarkson was still confused at how his daughter had suddenly gone inside after making that request. He was actually preparing to step out when she suddenly came inside. He had to of course suspend his supposed outing and went after her. Bella had already shut the door and locked herself inside. He heard her sobbing and could tell very well that she was crying. He became really worried and continued knocking at her door to no avail, demanding to know what exactly the problem with her was.
• Bella asked that he leave her alone, but of course, as a father who cared about his daughter, he was really worried. He did not give up however as he was really concerned about her. He stood out there, his mind and focus all channeled towards being that dream father he was determined to become. He began talking to her over the door. Although he was not sure about what she was going through, he did know that he was going to support her through everything. She however had to also remember that she was with child and that crying was not going to be of any use to either of them.
• Bella was distraught really that he had to show up now. She had a lot of questions seeping through her mind right now. She wanted to talk to him but she did not feel the need to. He had abandoned her for his ex-wife after all. She could not tell her father what was bothering her at the moment. But his words did seem to have an effect on her. She did not really know how long she had been in there but then, looking out through the window, she saw his cars making their way into her compound from the window.
